Simon Manner assists and represents companies in commercial, construction and energy disputes as well as in complex contract negotiations. In addition, he acts as arbitrator (chairman, sole arbitrator and co-arbitrator) and as member of dispute adjudication boards.
Simon Manner combines many years of experience as in-house counsel in a globally operating wind energy company with his experience as an attorney in dispute resolution law firms. He has a broad track record as counsel and arbitrator in disputes relating to, inter alia, construction and machinery, energy (oil & gas, renewables), infrastructure, corporate law, post M&A, intellectual property and international trade.

Before founding MANNER SPANGENBERG, Simon Manner was Senior Legal Counsel with the Nordex Group and globally responsible for handling the company’s disputes and negotiated numerous construction and procurement contracts. Prior to his in-house role, he worked for over five years as an attorney in Hamburg. Simon Manner studied law at the Universities of Freiburg and Basel (Doctor of Laws, summa cum laude).
Simon Manner is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of International Arbitration, a former co-chair of DIS40, and participated in the committee for the revision of the DIS Arbitration Rules. He regularly speaks at conferences and authored numerous publications on dispute resolution and contract law.
