Lennart Beckhaus specialises in dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration. He advises and represents companies and individuals in legal disputes as well as in the drafting, negotiation and execution of complex contracts.

 

Before joining MANNER SPANGENBERG, Lennart Beckhaus practised for more than three years as an attorney in the Litigation and Technology practice groups of Greenberg Traurig in Berlin (2018-2021). In addition to representing and advising clients in contentious situations and legal proceedings, he also advised companies and the public sector on major IT, software, telecommunications and infrastructure projects, and was seconded to a leading global FinTech corporation.

Lennart Beckhaus obtained his doctoral degree (magna cum laude) from the University of Bremen. He completed his legal traineeship (Referendariat) in Berlin with stages in the arbitration practice group of Hengeler Mueller in Berlin and the department for Foreign Investments and Investment Protection at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. He also worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Private International Law and International Civil Procedure Law at the Free University of Berlin and coached the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team of the Free University of Berlin.

 

Lennart Beckhaus studied law and completed a two year Foreign Language Program for Common Law at the University of Münster and the Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II). He was honoured by the Friends of the Law Faculty Association (Freundeskreis Rechtswissenschaft e.V., Münster) for his achievements in the First State Exam and was awarded the Martin Domke Award for the Best Individual Oralist in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration in Vienna.

Lennart Beckhaus’ working languages are German and English. He is also fluent in Spanish.
