Marie joins us as a third year Associate from litigation and arbitration powerhouse White & Case. She specialises in dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration and has vast experience litigating in German first instance and court of appeals courts, including corporate law and insolvency law disputes.
Marie completed her legal traineeship in Lower Saxony and worked as a research assistant in the litigation department of a leading German law firm as well as a boutique arbitration firm. She studied law in Germany, Switzerland and South Africa, where she obtained an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution with distinction from the University of Cape Town. During her studies she worked at the Institute for Comparative Law, Conflict of Laws and International Business Law. She also holds an International Baccalaureate degree from Ardingly College in the United Kingdom.
Marie Grüger is a passionate yoga practitioner and runner (raising the number of the firm’s lawyers that have completed a full Marathon to three).
